Apocalyptic Announcement

All hands meeting number 2 was crazy. Apparently lunches are only catered when BAD news is coming. This was bad news. Those pie charts that were so good last meeting have somehow become bad. All the exec faces were ashen and very scared looking. Our firm is not going to weather the “recession” unscathed.

LAYOFFS.

As soon as that word was mentioned my face lit up. It was very obvious since everyone else in the room turned green and black with shock. Getting laid off would be a dream come true! I would get paid while I found a job that I actually liked. I need to find a way to get laid off.
