My Boss Talked to me

My boss talked to me today. Like actually talked to me. He has always assigned me work, but today he talked about driving his kids to work.

What would have possibly made him talk to me today! I have been slacking, so I assumed he would be angry with me. It seems I have a lot to learn about working in an office.
